He was normalized since he first became the Republican nominee for president. It’s not useful to frame Bill Maher as the enemy.

It’s always amusing when people who are far less established in the writing world than myself try to attack my credibility. This stance of yours feels like it’s coming from someone who’s refused to listen to anything he’s said since that night he met Trump. Since then, he’s openly called him a fascist and spoken plainly about our descent into autocracy. He doesn’t speak endearingly about Trump or what he’s doing. All he really claimed was that Trump put on a civil face that night they met in person. He’s not the first to admit as much. Then he continued bashing him for all of his overreaches.
