OMG! Loved this episode.

Gen X movie-anything John Hughes. Video games - Atari!! But, as a parent of Gen Z - Nintendo! I want a switch just to play Pokemon.

Minecraft? I'm on the peripheral but, Chicken Jockey! (My kids get it and I'm learning it as a parent and teacher. I haven't seen the movie...yet.) But Minecraft has great educational applications!

In college Lawrence obsessively played a Sims game, pretty sure it was first Generation, and said it felt like "playing God". My kids felt that playing a zoo game...maybe Ben knows it.

Playing flight simulators...a guy did that with a real plane near the narrows bridge in Washington.

I started Hacks...great series-gotta revisit and catch up. Porpoises came up and I thought about the Purple Porpoise and to my utter delight Lawrence mentioned it later...it was epic and part of the UF student experience. So many stories there.

Rick and Morty...personal cringe but my kids LOVE it.

Nick Cage? Pick me up off the floor ...I love him from Valley Girl on. Raising Arizona -i want to rewatch. I can still hear my dad laughing. A classic. Unbearable Lightness of Being...made me mad, just saying. The ending SUCKED. (I may need to re-watch it ...for perspective) Long comment but that's because ...so much good stuff and fun! Thank you!!!

Thanks so much for the comment!! Thrilled we could inspire some thoughts 😂 glad your kids also got the Sims experience. Did they ever play Pocket God? That was an iphone game that was pretty popular for me in middle school, and I think may still even be updated to this day, that was the epitome of the “god in a game” feeling. Sims offered a lot more to do though. Minecraft I’m ashamed to say I never played! I’ve been very curious about the culture around that one. Really feel like I missed out sometimes lol.
