I went in with high expectations and was still blown away. Those monologues about what happens when we die hold a special place in my heart and I revisit them a few times a year. Did you see Life of Chuck?
Sadly it’s still pay per view on my end it looks like, but I imagine that will probably change in the next month or two. I saw it in theaters and it really tapped into a lot of what I found so special and introspective about Midnight Mass and The Haunting of Hill House (which I’d also recommend if you haven’t already seen it.) Mike Flanagan is terrific.
Even growing up a pretty firm cynic of religion, it really did a lot for me. One of my favorite shows of all time. I can only imagine how it would feel if you'd actually grown up in the church!
Haunting of Bly Manor was the only one of his that I started and didn't really get pulled into. How'd you like it? I have been meaning to give it more of a chance. Hill House was amazing, Fall of the House of Usher was too, but Midnight Mass was certainly my favorite of the three.
I thought Bly Manor was good. It had some creepy moments and a couple of twists I wasn't expecting. I wasn't crazy about the main actress, but I was able to ignore that aspect.
There was nothing quite like Midnight Mass. Every now and then, we come across a truly chilling story like that.
I thought it was great.

No. Is it streaming? Maybe I'll check it out.

Yeah, same here. I bookmarked it, though. As soon as it's available on one of my streaming platforms, I'll check it out.
Oh man, I loved this series. I was raised Catholic, so it hit really hard.

Thanks for reading, Andrei!
I watched The Haunting of Bly Manor, and Hill House is on my watch list, but it sounds like I'll need to add another one.
