I think The Boys does both: it's technically about 'superheroes' but it makes it so incredibly real - in a way that makes it uncomfortable to watch. Which is obviously why I love it 😉

One of my favorite shows of the past couple of years! As an American, I also love the political undertones and increasingly unsubtle references to our state of affairs lol. Homelander is such a stand-in for Trump at this point that I’m extremely curious how they handle this next season.

I’m not sure if it’s better than The Boys, but there are at least elements I like more. It’s fun to see them build up a whole Vought Cinematic Universe to compete with/make fun of Marvel. If nothing else it’s entertaining and good way to eat up a few days while waiting for the next season of The Boys to come out.

As with Amelia Brand in “Interstellar” I think love is quantifiable. Should be used as a factor in decision making.

Maybe we don’t encounter velociraptors, but there are monsters.

There are those who embrace the dark even if they’re not wizards.

Escapism is invaluable, but looking for another path or pov through literature&movies is I think healthy, especially currently when for so many reasons our reality is shifting.

Well said, Suki! My thoughts exactly. I’ve valued entertainment more than ever before lately.

Thanks for reading!
