Substack often likes to make things more complicated than they need to be. Did you have a favorite of the places you went? And which was the hardest adjustment?
I have had the pleasure of living abroad for extended periods and your essay captures that in between time so well. I am never sure where my footing is when I return but something internal has surely shifted. Thanks for sharing your wander wonder ings. I so enjoy them.

I should probably start including it in my articles as well. I’ve felt like the Substack subscription model discourages it a bit, so I’ve hesitated. But for a while I’ve hated the idea of essentially saying “I need your support, and it must be in the form of a subscription!” Every penny counts toward making this career possible. Thanks once again for all your support thus far!
