How hard would it have been to publish the ERA in the Federal Register? Or, FIRE Merrick Garland when it was OBVIOUS that he was not the WARRIOR WE NEEDED to run the DOJ?CRITICALLY, to raise the 14th Sec 3 on J-6 certification? Or announce sampled "Battleground" state recounts to address CRAZY ANOMALIES.

MAGA is waging war while we're observing the Rules of Order - for 50 years. There's no way to say DEMs are not complicit in the destruction of the American middle class.

It really is unthinkable that there were four whole years for Trump to face accountability and that this is the very best Democrats could do. It's pathetic and makes me feel very cynical of my own party.

Thanks so much for reading, Lisa.

I still wholeheartedly believe that there are dark, awful things that happened to ensure Trump’s re-election that Biden/Harris opted not to address under the guise of not sparking another civil war. And my question is, which is worse? A country ripped apart by seeking the truth about traitors in our midst, or a country ripped apart by fascism? Because either way, it’s coming. And if unrest is inevitable, wouldn’t they want to be on the right side of history for at least attempting to get the truth out?

I disagree with you. Young men voted for Trump in spades. People knowingly voted for a convicted felon, sexual predator, fraudster, authoritarian minded racist, misogynist liar. Others without courage or fortitude stayed home because they couldn’t decide between this monster and a black woman. Don’t forgive them for what is going to happen in the next four years. Perhaps Biden and Harris are too respectful and follow a political correctness that should not be afforded to the Republicans and Trump. But they stood by their principles. Trump has proven that he can buck the law and that he has way too many weak loyal supporters that will bend and twist the law for him. I also believe that Biden and Harris didn’t want to have any stain of preventing a peaceful transition.

Thank you. All of this. I keep saying, I don't believe this is some noble "peaceful transfer of power" - it is an act of violence against the citizens of the United States to hand us over to a fascist dictator. I don't want to hear about "mid-terms" or "in 4 years" - nah. We fight, and we fight now. NOT LATER. That's where the Democratic party has failed us, there is no more preaching about how the ballot box can save us. Dump did not win a "free and fair election." Dictators are not voted out - they are overthrown.

How do you fight though? Hopefully by legal means. I don't want to see bloodshed. There's enough of that elsewhere in the world. I simply do not understand how it came to this. WhateverLolawantsLolagets's avatar

My negativity? You should look at what you wrote.

You clearly do not understand the details of what's going on, or you wouldn't have written this hatchet job about the Biden admin., which I will remind you was an historic presidency & much, more successful than Obama's. I notice you don't hold Obama's grotesque power grab as something to never forgive, even though had he not interfered & fear-mongered about a bad debate performance, we would likely not be here right now. Obama blackmailed him with donor support & pressured him to step aside using the media influence he had & like clockwork those media sources lied their asses off for him. Wagner the inept giggly buffoon of Msnbc trying desperately to make sure nobody believed what Obama did. Too bad, because aggressive Obama bot Psaki tried to stop Joy from telling how he stepped in with these donors & tried to grab the entire 2024 ticket off of us primary voters & give it to them to choose who they wanted.

They didn't want Harris, but Dem primary voters weren't having it. I personally, almost LOST MY DAMN MIND I was so pissed at him! For him to jump in there during THIS election of all elections is what's unforgivable & unforgettable! Let me tell you how bad this thing is...it completely dwarfs a little affair & office sex act. When you start to believe your own press, that YOU set up for yourself (at Msnbc) & come to believe what them idiots are saying...then you really have lost all perspective. Then telling us all how he's the head Dem (no, not true...he's an ex POTUS). Them lying to the public talkin' about he's the best orator, (also false that's Bill Clinton). I'm sure his podcast bros, who clearly can't read a room to save their lives, believed he was the most powerful Dem, not true, especially now & could dictate the Dem party, which he is NOT in charge of. I take particular offense to them saying that because both Bill Clinton & Biden grew the Dem base, & united it & all Obama ever did was cause division & chaos & that's all he has to offer.

The excuses used came from Obama...the supposed "low" poll numbers that had been consistently low & rigged by Trump again, during primary season. His polls numbers didn't hardly move, but the media with it's idiotic portrayals have everyone on both sides believing their little act. I don't & didn't bcuz I have XRay vision when it comes to politics, media, reading them, their body language what is said & what isn't said, etc... The Clooney letter Obama was aware of & involved in, Mika said she thought he wrote it. Who'd know better than her because her dad literally created Obama? The lies they told in the letter, while NYT was in possession of his doctor's report proving he didn't have Dementia, but oh noooo that didn't matter to trashy NYT or Politico who burned Pelosi & lied about her urging him to step down (she didn't). They even chopped up video to "prove" their point & she confronted them on that.

Now I want you to imagine a few things. Imagine how hurt & devastated Biden was when Obama did that to him, while our country was up against fascism?? I can FEEL it. The pain would be seering & never ending. Now imagine what would happen if Bill Clinton had done something like that? Oh the outrage that Obama would have, & the progressives & corrupt reTHUGs, along with MSM. They'd still be attacking him right now in this very moment & would try to shame him & get apologies out of him up until the day that man died! So WHY are you letting him skate & lambasting the best POTUS we've ever had in years? Either you don't understand what is going on, or you are confused by the media's multiple failures, or maybe Msnbc has succeeded in their selfish protection of one President they like, while unfairly maligning & demanding perfection from other presidents. That's bias. It's unprofessional & it is not real journalism.

I read that. I mean you're acting like there was another choice that they had. I mean, she should've had it audited, & at least they should've looked into what we were saying, but they left us & then when she wanted to have some zoom call or whatever & said "we're going to keep fighting"...honestly I was too angry & upset to attend the call & the last thing I wanted to be told was that, after I knew there was still a chance to challenge the stolen election. I didn't think they'd take the denial this far that ' because Orange intentionally yelled "rigged" all the time, we can't challenge the election or we'll be "election deniers'. The message was clear because they went on Msnbc to continue to call out "we don't have election deniers" & I'm sitting there going..."how dare you shut us down". I'll tell you this....I'm not done with THEM yet, for that behavior, make no mistake... They were wrong to continue with that failed way of handling voters. I won't accept that behavior again.

Since 2000, this is the 4th election rethugs stole & by hiding that or ignoring it isn't going to ...get people to vote who wouldn't if you told the truth. They fear people will think the elections are not secure, so they won't vote, but I don't think like they do...

My perspective is, if you tell me the truth ALL the time & consistently, I will always have your back. If you lie to me, I'm going to have some reservations. I could be wrong I guess, but I would think you'd want people to vote for you without reserves.

It's not like you can't make an argument for either making sure elections are secure, or at least stop treating Americans like ....people that can't handle truth. We know what Putin's done to Europe, so don't tell us it can't happen here too.

Now, I'm someone that demands truth & hates to be lied too. I know everyone is not like me, but I think after 4 stolen elections it's time to stop claiming they're hoaxes, or not true when there is an abundance of evidence for all 4. It's disrespectful.

So what can I do? I've come up with some pushback for Dems wanting support/help from me & my vote. They need to prove to me that the election I'm voting in is secure & should we lose...they must agree to audit the election if I have any reservations. The second one is more important. Just do the audit. At least allow me to have peace of mind. I don't want to vote for someone that will walk away from me, when I have concerns & reservations. I know what they're up to, so I don't trust republicans. They haven't earned my trust.

Dems have to learn how to deal properly with a stolen election. After the election, many other down ballot races were won by auditing those votes. A couple of GOP got knocked out by that.

The press has been so nasty to Biden & Msnbc were jerks too. It still stings what they did pushing him out...Obama was behind that & Clooney & some weird donors. Lots of blame to go around, but Musk/Putin/Trump stole the election. You may not be aware of some of the research & findings, but it's going to come out soon.

Take care of that adorable dog, & don't give up on your dreams, writing, or any of your other endeavors.

Biden will be remembered as a selfish old man whose ego prevented him from keeping his pledge to be a one-term President, who had to be dragged kicking and screaming - like a denied toddler in a supermarket - from remaining on the ticket, and not allowing enough time for the primary system to choose the strongest candidate (maybe Kamala, maybe not). Good riddance, Joe.

I disagree. I believe Biden would have stepped down as promised had Trump not decided to run.

I could be wrong, of course. It could also be that once elected, he saw that there was so much he wanted to do and could do, for the country and for the working class, that he wanted to finish the job.

Whatever the reason, he quietly went about the business of governing and I believe history will be kind to Joe Biden.

He accomplished much-needed progressive change, the results if which will take time to see.

And MSM did nothing to highlight his accomplismments. Accomplishments made in spite of a House and Senate that stood in his way every step of the way, obstructing almost every attempt he made to do good for the country.

Forgetting their oath to the Constitution to serve the people who put them there.

And why? Because any good he did for the country was an impediment to their return to POWER.

I don’t believe that Biden’s pledge to be a 1-term President mentioned it being contingent on whether or not Trump ran…..

And if there was so much that Biden wanted to do for the working class… WHY DIDNT HE DO IT??? We are currently witnessing a master class in what a President can accomplish - for good or evil - when they actually want change.

Biden is a selfish old man whose ego led him to a disastrous decision. And we’re all now paying the price. Good riddance, Joe.

As is my right as an American, I disagree with your characterization of President Biden and Vice President Harris. Both did their jobs and brought a country devastated by an unprecedented pandemic back from the brink. President Biden did wonderful things for the American people despite members of his party, like Joe Manchin. History will number Biden among the truly great President like Washington, Lincoln and Roosevelt. I grew up a Republican and voted for Republicans for President many times, but then I realized the GOP wasn't so grand after all. I was not and am not ready to be a Democrat. I am an Independent who votes for the best person to lead the country. I did not vote for a felon to be President. I do not understand why anyone would make such a choice. Worse are the people who sat out the election and did not exercise their duty to ensure the United States of American got the best person (a woman) for the job. SHAME ON THEM!

It's a very good point, but what it got me thinking about most of all is the way that we have to aggregate the history books until we can lay the credit or blame at the feet of a small handful of leaders and most-prominent public figures.

It made me think that what I would really like most would be to name-check every person around me along with the details of the racist, misogynist, conspiracy theory garbage they've used to brag about their loyalty to a rapist conman who they insist is their Jesus. History may decide Biden did well or could have done better - but I wish history would make note of 78 million people who definitely did cheerfully sell the rest of us out.
