You have expressed this much better than I could, Ben. Thank you.

I’m sure you’d do a great job speaking to this subject. But thanks as always for the kind words, Brent!

There’s no such thing as God given right to have unlimited, unrestrained access to guns.

One can’t be anti abortion, but suggest school shootings are an acceptable sacrifice of children for a fetish.

The idea of god-given rights to something as ungodly as the weapons that are sold in stores today would be a subject for satire if it weren’t our literal reality. It’s completely absurd.

While I occasionally call myself an atheist, I’m deeply offended by those, even SCOTUS justices who are anti abortion, but send ICE violently after immigrants. Some here legally, some children, a pregnant woman thrown to the ground. Cuts to Medicaid, food assistance. But clearly access to guns the most disturbing&anti Christian. Anti child. That America’s children have drills&must be afraid to go to school.

BTW Karoline Leavitt, Pam Bondi: lose the crosses, some of us have actually read the Sermon on the Mount.

Ken Paxton. YIKES!

The hypocrisy is absolutely staggering. There's nothing that's "pro-life" about the pro-life party. If you aren't doing the bear minimum to prevent literal school shootings, you are not pro-life. It shouldn't be that complicated, but here we are.

Abortion was bad, but school shootings necessary. Black women have inferior brains. …

What kind of freedom is it if our children have to be trained to duck and hide so that what? Someone can play soldier or obliterate a target? I'm not saying you should give up your hunting rifle or your home protection (although I have more faith in a large dog or a small one with a big voice). I'm saying, how many rounds of ammo does it take to shoot a rabbit or a target? Why has our zealot's need for the 2nd Amendment overshadowed our 1st Amendment rights to Life and Liberty? Don't we have the right to stand in a crowd and not worry that the guy standing next to us is going to pull out a gun?

It's absolute lunacy. We've sooner invented bullet-protective backpacks than addressed the underlying issue. It really is hard to believe we could be so ass-backwards. There's no conceivable reason we should be the school shooting capital of the world.

Just wondering who is going to follow in his steps, His wife maybe , because it seems they will never learn and does not matter the cost of it all 😩

I did read she was considering taking up the mantle. But it’s hard to imagine her gaining much traction considering how antithetical to Kirk’s “women should all be housewives” mentality her very presence on that tour would be.

I have been trying to find the words or explanation for how I feel about this. You have put into words I could not. Political activists must know the risk they take for speaking out.

They were truly meant.

I live in Tasmania where the Port Arthur massacre was our “claim to fame” world wide, & hearing of shooting deaths keep bruising my soul I’m afraid.

Keep up the good work it's always appreciated (I just don't comment all the time).

It's tragic just how desensitized we've become to it over here. Even as someone virulently opposed to the accessibility of guns in this country, I've grown somewhat numb to the announcements. At this point I just expect school shootings to happen with a grating regularity. It's sickening.

Thanks so much for saying so, Anna! Sometimes I worry my pieces are just going out into the void hahaha.
