I do remember HER. It left me with emotions I didn't quite recognize. Now I want to know: Why is there no HIM? HER carries the full misogynistic premise that only women can be loving, tender and emotional. And note it is created by men for hetero men. Can HER mother your human children?

Can HER be programmed to record everything it says to you; then that info is used against you, or the programming hacked? I would say definitely YES.

NOW, about HIM. I could create a heterosexual man with all the qualities I think I need. But are they the qualities I really need to grow and become a better person--a loving, caring, generous, kind and tolerant human being? Maybe not.

And does any of this matter anymore? Hmmmm.

I think if I recall the movie correctly, there are actually hims! At one point, the Her character has an intellectual affair with another male AI.

I've thought a lot about the appeal of an AI partner. It's something I'd hate to ever feel was necessary, but for people who are lonely enough, I can hardly blame them for going that route. Sometimes I talk to AI, not because I'm lonely, but just for the hell of it lol. ChatGPT 4o is pretty unbelievable.

Just saw the movie COMPANION, which gives all the good reasons to never get an AI girlfriend or boyfriend.

The males? That's just a story sideways. Please let me know when you get an announcement that says HIM. I would be so curious

about the qualities given to HIM and who created HIM. Wouldn't you be curious? Would you trade your girlfriend (or boyfriend if you're gay) for what you consider to be the perfect AI person?

Thanks for your response.

I don't expect you to answer these questions, obviously. Just saying...
