I wonder how they can admire a person that was so “brave” that when he was finally cornered he could not pay the piper. The Fuehrer took some cyanide and shot himself in the head. The man was ruthless but without those around him to carry out his atrocities and protect him, he was a coward. It seems to be characteristic of authoritarian mad men even to this day.
It really is telling that when all was said and done, he couldn’t face the music. I’d expect exactly the same of Trump if he were even brave enough to pull the trigger.
The horror of what he said, and the casualness with which he said it. I always try to understand those I don't agree with, but this is unfathomable. As I've probably noted before, I'm an Atheist with Taoist leanings, but I've had many Jewish friends. They are all pro Palestinian and for a 2 state solution. They, like me, are also pro Israel but anti Netanyahu and his war gang. Such complex feelings.
So many people wrongly assume that Jews approve of what’s happening, but it’s my Jewish friends who are among the most disgusted by it. To have endured the holocaust and then impose this on Palestine is unthinkable. Israelis and their government are not one and the same.
Thanks as always for reading and for the kind words, Linda.

Oh Ben,
The horror of what he said, and the casualness with which he said it. I always try to understand those I don't agree with, but this is unfathomable. Thanks for ŧhis piece.
As always, beautifully written.
