How one common device can be used to enhance your writing
A refreshing, thoroughly researched report. :D
Thanks so much for reading, Kathy! These language ones are a lot of fun.
I love using alliteration, especially in humor. I sometimes sneak snippets subtly into my articles.
PS. Unfortunately, the algorithm on Substack
rearranges everything to its own liking. It also drops my words into poetry mode when I am just trying to say something. Who ƙnows what you'll get? 🙄
As someone who calls herself a poet (I may be the only one who thinks so), I appreciate your fine tuning the use of alliteration. I tend to stay
away from same letter alliteration; it feels phony.
I love onomotopoeia and words that conflict with each other; I use analogies way too much.
But punctuation and spacing, the subject you last covered, will consume how I finish it.
Thanks for this.
