As an old man fast approaching his 72nd birthday (it boggles my mind I'm this old!), I'm deeply disheartened by the current sociopolitical state of America, frightened at the prospect of what AI will bring, and glad I don't have too many more years left on this planet.
There are times where I envy the older generations in not having to stick around for another century of advancement hahaha. I'm generally optimistic, but it's hard for me to imagine a future any less chaotic than our present. But ten years ago, I wouldn't have thought it was possible to be this content in a world as we know today.
